I work with various non-traditional materials, such as pharmaceuticals, sex lube, weed killers, pesticides, beverages, and hand sanitizer, to create drawings and paintings on paper. Some serve as studies for larger paintings, others as standalone works. The works on paper take advantage of the porous nature of the surface, playing with contrasts of attraction and repulsion in a simple oil and water chemistry. I draw with unusual tools, including syringes, pipettes, baby bottle nipples, and pens with pharmaceutical-infused ink.
